About the care needs: A clever person that will keep him mobile. He recently had a stroke so does not communicate well and gets angry a lot. We are looking to hire a companion for my sister who is handicapped and suffers short term memory loss from a traumatic brain injury that occurred when she was 16. She is currently rehabbing at the nursing home after a fall and broken leg. At minimum, we want someone for Monday through Friday, but could be up to 7 days a week if we find someone who wants to do that. The ideal candidate would keep her company and call for aide assistance if she wants to get out of bed, go to the bathroom, etc. They would also assist her with eating breakfast and lunch, and do activities with her during her waking hours to help pass the time. They would reinforce/practice any exercises or activities introduced by PT and OT, which would usually occur during those hours of the day during the week.
