Experienced nanny and teacher with a background in teaching environmental science, native plants, wildlife, and anything related to nature to children ages K-12th. I have a BS in Organismal Biology, specifically Herpetology(Reptiles and Amphibians), and have enjoyed working as a Naturalist for the Irvine Nature Center. I worked there for several years and had the opportunity to handle snakes and turtles during children's programs at schools, camps, and the nature center. I also taught environmental science and urban farming of fruits and vegetables to children in grades 3-12th for a non-profit called the Parks and People Foundation. I also have worked for the San Diego Public Library and during my time there, I lead several programs including the infant and toddler story times, which were two separate 60 minute programs, each with about 15-20 children in attendance. Over the past five years, I have been nannying part-time and have worked with children ages 11months-3 yrs old.
