About Maureen

I have over two decades of paid childcare experience. My sister was born when I was 10 and both my parents worked so I ended up caring for her a lot. I then quickly became the go-to baby-sitter for the families on my street starting at age 11 & continuing through high school. During community college I nannied and from that I gained experience with three separate clients with neurodivergent and/or autistic children. I like to take the kids on walks to parks, be outside, & explore the world with them. If it's a night job, I'll focus more on inside activities like coloring/painting, making music, & playing games. I love nature, especially trees and the ocean. I have a BA in Spanish Studies with a minor in Education. I can help all ages with their Spanish homework, and have strengths in languages and arts. During my undergraduate degree I spent two years working as an after school teacher where I was responsible for 14 children at a time.
