My passion for caregiving began as early as my pre-teen years when I spent my Sundays assisting in the Church nursery. From here on, I began babysitting for families (dropped off by my mom or dad) with toddlers or 5-10-year-olds. Once licensed, I was able to nanny over the summers-I was responsible for preparing meals, driving the child(s) to extra-curricular activities or appointments, medication if necessary, and assistance with school work. Now in my mid-twenties, I've spent 4 of my summers in Uganda, where I cared for newborn babies in an Orphanage. I have experience not only as a respite worker for young adolescents, but experience working in an elementary school setting providing 1:1 ABA support to a mentally disabled client. I have worked with individuals as young as 3 to as old as 40 years old whom are handicapped, and or, have been diagnosed with Autism and Downs Syndrome. Please reach out if you have any other questions regarding my childcare experience!
