Hi! I'm Heather. I am an artist who was completely self taught until high school and college, during which I've taken a total of 6 art classes. I have received multiple awards for my artwork, including a scholarship for the local university in my hometown :) My goal as an artist is to open a community art studio space that includes wild crafted art materials from nature for a completely non-toxic and earth-respectful creative environment. My goal as an art tutor is to utilize my own experience with art as well as my technical training to show students new ways of looking at the components of art, including shape, color, balance, harmony, composition, and more. I personally love abstract expressionism but I have been most praised for my realism. I love introducing people to new materials so that they can choose which fits their goals for their art and as an artist. I also have done significant research in art as a form of therapy. I look forward to working with your child!
