My name is Emma L! I moved to Durango from Colorado Springs three months ago and currently work as an assistant teacher. I'm employed at Riverhouse Children's Center where I work with infants and toddlers. As an assistant teacher I create a safe environment for the children, making sure that they are fed and changed when needed and scheduled as well as giving each child attention. Before I moved to Durango I worked as a Registered Behavior Technician working with autistic children under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst. I worked with children aged between 2-18 years. As an RBT I taught my clients how to communicate, use a schedule for tasks, as well as how to interact and empathize with their peers. During this time for 2 years I also worked as a high school volleyball coach. I coached students that were freshman as well as sophomores, teaching them how to strive in a team environment as well as how to achieve their goals through working hard.
