About Devyn

Devyn has been our nanny for the past five years, starting when our children were 3 months and 2 years old. Now that both kids are entering school full-time this August, we are happy to help her find the next lucky family that can benefit from her exceptional skills. --Incredible childcare skills-- Managing multiple children: Devyn is a master at juggling multiple ages. In addition to our two who started at 3 months and 2 years, she now also occasionally cares for her 3 year old nephew and 1 year old niece. Watching her seamlessly manage the needs of four children, ranging from infants to school-age, is an impressive show of organization and patience. The baby whisperer: She has a quiet, observant nature that puts even shy babies at ease. She integrated into our household so naturally that even with me working from home, it never felt like we were bumping into each other. She doesn't just wait for instructions; she is always observing for what's needed and supports the logistics of the kids' lives, always in her kind, gentle way. School & homework: She stays on top of school papers and calendars. In addition to helping our oldest with his homework, if I don't say something already, she will gently remind me about upcoming school holidays by asking if we need her help (which we almost always do), proactively asking if we need her to cover the extra hours. Communication: She is an incredible communicator, always responding to texts in a timely fashion. You are never left wondering about a schedule or an update. Reliability: In five years, Devyn has never been late. Never. Even when she had a long commute, she would arrive early and wait to walk through our door exactly at 8:00 am. She is the model of rock-solid dependable. --International travel & adaptability-- Devyn is also a wonderful travel companion. She accompanied me and our youngest on multiple week-long work trips to the UK, France, and Portugal. She handles the stress of international travel, time zone shifts, and foreign environments with total poise. She is adaptable and maintains the kids' routines regardless of the setting. It's hard to overstate just how much her calm, dependable nature reduces the stress of travel. --Full-hearted recommendation-- Devyn comes from a large, loving family, and that warmth is evident in everything she does.
