I have primarily tutored Math, English, Science, History, Geography, Reading (comprehension, beginning and emerging readers), essay writing and general homework help. A native English speaker, originally from the Midwest. I have been a K-12 Tutor for over 10 years. My previous work experience includes 15 years as a Substitute Teacher, as a result, I have experience teaching EVERY subject. I strive to meet the needs of each of my students in a way that best matches their individual learning styles, interests and motivations. I hope to instill in each of my students, not only an understanding of subject material, but also the love for learning. I will help your child reach their potential! My rate is $50 per hour. I will have openings for Summer 2024 beginning 6/1. I have a criminal record/background check available upon request. Christina

We started looking for a reading tutor when we noticed our 6 yr old was having trouble learning to read. I interviewed a number of candidates and what struck me was how much time Christina took to get to know my kid as an individual, rather than assigning a curriculum or a method to him. We've been with Christina almost 5 months now and plan on continuing with her because she is so effective. My almost 7 yr old is now reading and proud of himself! I could not recommend Christina more. She is such a professional, but also warm and accommodating.
