I have 3 years of paid experience working in the field of ABA. Currently, I am working in-home with a family of two kiddos. (Brothers) with autism. Both non-verbal and one with severe SIB and tantrums. In the three years I have worked in this field, I have dealt with kiddos that have severe tantrums, SIB, spitting, aggressive behaviors as well as elopement (running away) . Ages have also ranged from 2 years of age to 15 years old. Through this wide age range, I have gotten very familiar, with potty training, meal preparation, morning routines such as getting dressed and making the bed, going out into public, grocery shopping and learning how to be around all shorts of people and noises. Aside from a professional career in ABA, I also have volunteer hours with "Buddy Break" through "Nathaniel's Hope", where one Saturday a month, myself and other volunteers watch kiddos on the spectrum while their parents go out and have their alone time.
