20+ yrs working to keep others as healthy and safe as possible within their residence setting. Returned to college in early 2000's to acquire CMA certification (with honors). This provided opportunity to work within various medical settings and specialties to increase my skills and knowledge. I've assisted those with dementia/Alzheimer's, brain tumors, Parkinson's, post-surgical care, general aging challenges, and solving independence issues like transportation, home cleanliness / safety, shopping, errands and physical activities. I'm a decent cook and apply healthy meal planning while serving personal favorites or compliance to special diets as needed. I love resourcing appropriate fun activities for keeping mentally and physically strong - in home or other locations. My care is always specific to the person's need and capabilities. So far my assignments' ages have ranged from 31yo - 104yo! Please note: I will not do heavy lifting.
