I used to work for my mom in Southern Maine at her early childhood education program where we embodied Anthroposophy & Waldorf inspired learning traditions like song & dance, story time & outside play. I learned a lot about the importance of imagination in a young child's life and I observed the positive reaction children had to hands-on activities and projects that gave them purpose. I have experience working with infants as young as 6 months old, with them I focus on 'tummy-time' and trying to crawl, reading books, playing with their toys and listening to music; things that aid in their development. As well as covering the basics of infant care: feeding bottles and transitioning to solids when it's time, changing diapers and occasionally bathing the babies. I also have experience working with toddlers all the way up to age 7. With them I tend to observe where they are at in their development and do child-led activities and projects.

Aleah has been taking care of our 9-month old daughter. She had no trouble picking up the baby's routine, has fun playing with her and is confident caring for her. Also has been open to suggestions and feedback. Very punctual and reliable.
