About who needs care: He is 68 and 140 pounds with Parkinson's. Mentally he is fine. He has balance problems but mostly only when he walks outside. The only time he goes outside is to get into a car. He does not use a cane. His daily activities involve eating, watching tv, taking pills twice/day and mostly sleeping. He sleeps through the night. He needs help with personal care, bathing, toilet and dressing and meal preparation. He is a very kind, soft spoken gentleman that likes to go to restaurants for lunch and/or dinner. He is open to getting take out meals or eating inside the restaurant. He does not drive. His favorite hobbies are electronics and sleeping. He wears the same sweat pants outfit day and night unless going out. Then he changes into a black sweat suit. He can urinate on his own but sometimes misses the toilet that has a mat around it. He needs his bottom wiped after a bowel movement. He bathes 2-3 times per week with help. He wakes at 9:15am, Breakfast at 9:30am, Lunch 1pm, Dinner 5:30pm, Bedtime around 8 p.m.
About the care needs: He prefers male caregivers but knows that 80% of caregivers are women. He likes kind and quiet people. No special skills are needed other than patience.
Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
