I am a 49yo handicapped person living in Santee who cannot stand or walk. I do have 24/7 help from my husband, but he's overwhelmed and we need help. We have a housekeeper that comes every 2 weeks and a house helper who comes twice a week, so you would have assistance in those areas. I need someone to help care for me with: Helping with exercises Assist in transfers Pool buddy or watcher Bathing & Grooming Hair washing Lotioning Dressing Helping with Medication Foley Catheter Care Bowel Management Light Housekeeping/Organizing Meal Prep once in awhile Errands here and there Honestly, we need an all around helper to make life easier around here. I know I'm missing things from the list, but that gives you a general idea. We seek someone who is reliable, trustworthy and kind, who enjoys taking care of others. :)

About the care needs: We need someone who is a good communicator, as theyll be interacting with us from a distance and with other people like companies, car rental places, etc. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.

About who needs care: Mother-in-Law is mobile but doesn't move very fast or for long stretches. Gets winded and tired with more than 15 - 20 minutes of physical activity (meals, clean up or other household tasks). She still drives but may need a companion to ride along to the supermarket, pharmacy, etc. or to drive her to doctor's or dentist's appointments. She would need help mostly in the late morning (bringing her tea and toast to her bedroom) and in the evening to prepare dinner and clean afterward. And just some companionship in the evening when she is social (she's not a morning person but is quite social otherwise). About the care needs: Someone who enjoys good conversation and is kind. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.

About who needs care: My mother is 82 y/o and has mild-moderate dementia. She has been at Senior Living facility since my father passed away in Apr 2018. She was moved to Memory Care last year. History of 2 prior falls in past 5 years - sustained a hip fracture in Nov 2020. She ambulates with a 4-wheel walker. Her physical health is otherwise pretty good. She is independent with bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding. She is very pleasant and has no behavioral issues. She does not wander. Her care needs are basically limited to those noted above. She does not have any care needs overnight, but would benefit from having a live-in caregiver(s) present during the night in case any issues arise. About the care needs: Friendly, engaging. My mother enjoys being with most anyone who engages and interacts with her. No specialized skills required. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
