We need hands-on care to take care of my father in Pagosa Springs. Medication management is helpful. Please be willing to do light housekeeping. We'll need you to handle groceries or errands when appropriate. You'll be responsible for transporting to/from appointments.

About who needs care: She has dementia, can not drive, is on oxygen full time. You would need to be able to take her to the doctor or to town. Do the grocery shopping and make meals. We do have a housekeeper that comes every other week. She has a washer and dryer that are in a basement and the freezer is there. We provide a car. we currently have 24 hour care but need more help to make it not so difficult on our caregivers. We can work out shifts. we take her out of the house in a wheelchair. she does use a walker in the house, (or I should say is supposed to) She likes to be outside if weather permitting. She likes to go on drives and eat lunch out. She is on heart meds and would need help with that also. About the care needs: We need someone that is not bossy and will let her make the decisions. She is used to living by herself and doing what she wants to do. She is an alpha female for sure. She likes her house clean and her laundry done a certain way. She likes her yard kept (which my daughter takes care of that) She might ask you to blow the leaves off the walk once in a while. She likes family around and we try but we all work. I am looking for home help for my father (age 68). He recently sustained a brain injury and as such needs additional support around the house.
