About who needs care: My dad is wheelchair bound but has recently lost the strength in his legs to transfer to his lift recliner and his bed independently. He is presently in rehab which we're hoping will give him some more strength. He also has some incontinent issues. His mind is very sharp and he still pays all of his own bills and manages all of his own affairs. He has keen interest in many things and enjoys people. Hes a remarkable man. Right now an ideal day would involve having someone help us a couple of hours in the morning M- F with his hygiene needs, some light housework and visiting with my dad. My dad loves watching golf, programs about animals, the history etc About the care needs: Dad enjoys people but he also enjoys spending time on his own. He knows he needs help with mobility and some of his personal hygiene. He's very easygoing and accepting of what he needs. He needs help with transferring from his bed to his chair and going to the bathroom. He can get himself dressed but is just slow doing so. May need some help putting his shoes on. Dad enjoys watching Golf, some favorite TV shows and doing things on hid iPad. Someone who can respect my dad's physical limitations and appreciate and enjoy his many interests and keen mind would be a great fit. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
