About who needs care: Patient is a woman with advanced dementia and schizophrenia. She is not there cognitively and needs complete assistance with all ADLs. The caregiver would primarily spend time supervising the patient in house, assisting her to the bathroom, bathing, feeding, clothing, and assisting her to walk across the house. Meal prep would also be requested but not mandatory for the job. You would be accompanied by the patients husband in the house, who is in his early 80s but can help with tasks. He mostly likes to talk.
About the care needs: A good fitting personality would be someone that can enjoy passive conversation throughout the shift. A lighthearted mood would help. No specialized help is necessary but tasks could mimic that of a CNA in regards to ADLs. You would have to tolerate/enjoy the tv being on the whole time for entertainment of the geriatric couple. If you assist with meal prepping then you will be compensated for the additional work
Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
