Full Time
About who needs care: She has advanced dementia and a prolapsed bladder. She takes medication for dementia once in the evenings. She enjoys going on walks, looking for butterflies, watching romantic comedies, listening to Pandora, and eating vegetarian meals.
She thrives on routine. Her ideal day is to wake up around 9, drink coffee and eat breakfast, listen to Pandorda, go for a walk around 11-12pm, take a nap, go out for lunch, listen to Pandora, take a nap, eat dinner (at home or at a restaurant), watch a movie, take a bath, go to sleep. She also enjoys going on errands and going along for the ride. Due to her prolapsed bladder, she needs access to a nearby bathroom wherever she goes.
About the care needs: A caregiver should be patient, soft-spoken, and know how to communicate with someone very introverted. Openness to sharing personal anecdotes, stories, and opinions would be nice. Someone with experience working with clients with dementia is a major plus.
Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
