Hello! We are currently a family of 2 but soon to be 3. We have two large breed dogs and two small kitties (big animal lovers over here!). I work from home full-time, and my husband is a pilot who has an ever-changing schedule. We are hoping to find two solid days a week of care for our new babe. I am home during the week but would take the opportunity to run errands or work at a coffee shop etc. We have an additional home in Angola, IN. We are looking for someone who is flexible and comfortable with driving up there when we are there in the summer/fall months. We of course would compensate for the extra travel if we were there on the specified days. I would love to find someone who is able to help with some of the infant laundry, clean up and pets.

We have 4 children from 9 months to 8 years old. We would only need help with our 9-month-old and our 3-year-old. C is 9 months old and has a condition called PCH Type 2. He is on a G tube and takes medication daily. O is 3 and shows signs of autism but very manageable. My wife is a stay at home mom of 4 and I drive semi. I am home every single night but work long hours. We're looking for someone that can give my wife a break during the day with the littles so she can run errands or do things around the house as our two little ones require full attention at all times. About who needs care: Had an aortic aneurysm in late October which resulted in a massive right sided stroke. Has no movement on the left side. Needs 25% to 50% assist with transfers. Is bed and wheelchair bound. Cannot walk due to left side immobility but can bear weight on the left side. Can use urinal but needs assistance using bedside commode and/or other toileting needs. Is on regular diet and can feed himself with right hand. Will need meal prepared. Is also expected to continue to receive physical therapy while at home. Can tend to most basic grooming needs with help. Will need shower assistance. He is left handed so needs assistance while adjusting to having to use the right side. He owns and was actively practicing as a licensed marriage & family therapist. He enjoys cars and history. About the care needs: Someone outgoing and eager to help. He is having a tendency to get frustrated quite easily so definitely someone with patience. Someone who has worked before with one-sided immobility would be a plus. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance. Preference for a caregiver who is male.
