About who needs care: My grandmother is 100 years-old and has recently been diagnosed with dementia which is progressing rapidly. She is mostly mobile and walks with assistance from a walker. She tries to be independent, but has recently needed additional care with walking and personal care.
She typically goes to bed around 9 p.m. and will occasionally need help getting up in the middle of the night for restroom breaks. She wakes up around 7 a.m. and eats breakfast then likes to work on either sudoku or crossword puzzles until lunch. She eats lunch at noon and then continues her bookwork until dinner at around 4-5 p.m. She enjoys hot meals for dinner. After her evening meal she'll watch television until bedtime.
About the care needs: Kind, patient, understanding, resilient. My grandmother can have moments of confusion which cause a temper tantrum.
Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
