An Extroverted Introvert, I Enjoy Helping Seniors.
Good organizational skills, engaging conversationalist, sympathetic, serious or lighthearted as the situation permits or requires, interested in hearing other's stories, patient, prompt, excellent cook, rapid cleaner, gladly provide transport to/from medical appointments. I am currently providing part-time care for my own elderly parents, and am looking to round out my schedule with part-time work of the same type. I have no children; helping others gives me a sense of purpose and satisfies my desire to give to others, as my wonderful parents once gave to me.

$25-$30hr.+ COMMITTED, CREATIVE, PROFESSIONAL NANNY NEEDED Start Date: ASAP but no later than Nov. 24th. Location: East Boulder / Louisville Creative, proactive, patient, active, highly communicative and engaging nanny is needed from 12:30-5:30pm Monday-Friday with an additional date night once a week until 9pm for 1 5-yer-old boy, 1 almost-2-year-old boy and another boy due in March. Both parents work full time remotely from home but have been doing this since COVID and always assure that the nannies are the boss when they are home and rarely come out of their offices during the day. The mother will be taking maternity leave for 4-6 months and can help tag team the three boys after the baby is born. Including the 1 date night per week, the hours total to about 28-33 per week with some flexibility for more hours for the right fit if needed. Their 5-year old goes to school from 8am-1pm most days and on occasion until 3pm he is bright, active, curious and creative. Their affectionate, joyful and highly verbal nearly 2 year old goes to school from 9am-1230pm. The job will entail doing school pick-ups for one or both boys, taking them to activities, doing fun arts and crafts at home, watching them play indoors at home and outdoors. On date nights, it will include feeding them dinner, doing bath time and putting them to bed. They are looking for a nanny that is active - willing to run around playgrounds for example - and who enjoys being outdoors in all weather. A nanny that loves playing at the playground, building forts, or just sitting and reading books is the ideal nanny for these boys. The boys are also relatively independent and enjoy quieter activities like playing with legos and blocks without engagement at times. The family is looking for a proactive communicator who wants to be part of a true team in raising their children, they want someone who shares all the best and worst parts of the day with them. They want someone who is warm and can set boundaries and appropriate consequences while maintaining calm and love throughout. A nanny who is resilient and that can put up with the bad days as well the many wonderful days and would like to grow with this family is ideal. The parents use the 'love and logic' style of parenting which ties consequences and affirmations to behaviors real-time. A nanny that has a background working with children with ADHD or sensory-seeking children is preferable since their 5-year-old son has recently been diagnosed with ADHD and can be hyperactive. They are working with a great occupational therapist and ADHD specialist who is giving lots of effective techniques and ideas and they want a nanny to participate in all the learning and be engaged in deploying consistent strategies alongside the parents and teachers. The child's ADHD is not severe nor debilitating in any way, it's just that he presents as being highly active sometimes and needs people to help him regulate, which is vastly improving. This is a great learning opportunity for someone who wants to expand their knowledge with the latest and greatest caregiving techniques as identified by a thoughtful team of teachers, specialists and parents. This family would like someone who is willing to help with light chores at home that could include helping their children put away their toys, cleaning their bath toys and humidifiers, doing children's laundry and the occasional load for them as well as some light meal prep. The nanny must love dogs since the family has a friendly rescue-pup who is 7 years old. The nanny must also be up to date on all vaccines, including the COVID ones. The family offers funding for health insurance and at least 3 weeks of vacation (2 of the families' choosing and 1 of the nanny's choosing) but it ends up typically being 5-6 weeks over the course of the year. Paid holidays and unlimited sick days are also offered. While travel is not expected, they would love to find a nanny who might be interested in going to their mountain house for a long weekend or week with them for additional pay in a place where the nanny would have their own room and a bedroom and some free time. The family has had a few nannies in the past who they consider family and would be happy to provide those references so the nanny can candidly discuss any questions a potential nanny might have. This warm, loving and fun family is looking for someone to grow with them over time and they are willing (and have in the past) adjusted hours and other aspects of the job around the nannies' preferences and professional development goals. Please apply if this sounds like you.
