We're expecting our first child in June/July 2023 (due date is 7/1/23). I would like to have someone at home with her for the first 6 months to 1 year. We're looking for someone who understands attachment and baby development or is willing to learn. I am a psychotherapist and am happy to teach you. It's pretty simple. Essentially, the more you talk to the baby and respond to her cues the better the baby does. If the caregiver speaks a second language, that is a plus. I speak Spanish and English. We have two pups. One is very old and the younger one is skittish at first but very sweet.

We have two children a toddler thats 26 months and a newborn. However, we would like a nanny solely for our toddler. While the nanny is here we want the nanny to play with the toddler and teach him things. Make play educational and stimulating. Main focus would be doing fun and educational activities with the toddler and feed the toddler lunch. I am looking for someone to do the research on fun educational activities and then apply it. The goal is that days the nanny is here the child learns a lot and is stimulated.

Our family is big on time together. Unless the kids are in school, we are cooking, playing, laughing, and joking around. I am a single mother so we are a little more relaxed in my household. It's important to me that the children fully explore what they are passionate about whether it's dying their hair, painting art, learning cooking skills, reading, they are allowed to do just about anything that is creative learning and we try to be more hands on. My children love art and dancing. They are very creative. My son loves to dye his hair and he is a bookworm along with being a gamer. I do try to restrict his gaming though. My daughter loves dancing, Disney, painting, and baking cookies! Both of my children will need homework help IF I am working a day shift. Other than that they are pretty independent as I try to teach them life skills as well as being able to do things themselves which they love. My daughter likes books read to her at night and my son usually prefers a movie so bedtime is very big in our house, I try to make it very comfortable for them so they get a good sleep. We are looking for a fun loving babysitter that enjoys outings and just having fun. Someone who knows how to put their foot down but can do it in a manner that teaches them and doesn't reprimand them. You must be able to watch them in the pool if you ever work a hot day as we do have a pool and our other residence has a beautiful pool as well. We do have a garage and parking. We have two cats. They are awesome. Not a mean bone in their body, those are our lazy babies!
