About who needs care: My mother-in-law has been an independent woman until recently. She lives in her home on our property and (at this point) only needs basic assistance. We feed her dinners but would appreciate transportation support for her appointments, dishes, laundry and groceries. Plus a dog walk in our beautiful neighborhood. She is 92 and on oxygen with multiple compromised systems in her health history, so we never know when we may need more help. Her dementia is worsening with each fall. We would like someone who is willing to possibly transition into more intensive care in the future. She has a housecleaner come in once a week and had a caregiver until last week for about 4 hours on Tuesday and Friday.
About the care needs: She is fairly introverted and educated, though liberal-minded in most things. She appreciates basic respect and consideration for her opinions, as well as someone who can make a good pot roast! (I am not the best cook. We eat a lot of salads.)
Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
