Some days are busier than others, but I have a bath aid, SW, RN and MD who follow my care and med regimen. I still am able to do self-care with dressing, meds and warming up meals on wheels at times. There are days when I am quieter than others due to med interactions and pain management issues. It is a plus that once someone gets to know me, they can read these signs for me. I am easy to get along with but do very much appreciate someone who remembers that they are guests in my home (after being hired and becoming comfortable with the job). If there are things they cannot tolerate, this should be discussed up front before being hired. She loves Jesus and beading, but has become inactive. I'm looking for someone that can take her to occasional doctor appointments (typically in the area, but a few may be as far as Poulsbo or Silverdale). This will most likely be irregular and on weekdays, but I can commit to 4 hrs./month, plus fuel expenses from her residence to/from appointments. I will also ask that you run occasional errands to the grocery store with her. She uses a walker but needs careful assistance when not using her walker.
