About who needs care: I don't need every day, just when we will be out; usually Sundays mid morning to late afternoon, but also some weekdays, mostly mid morning to mid afternoon, depending on my husband's schedule (he normally works from home) Dad is mentally fit, but has had a bad fall, so I worry about him being in the house alone. No cooking, but making sure he eats something for lunch. He is legally blind, so mostly just watches TV or talks. His used to do wood working and was a mechanic by trade. He has a catheter, but normally empties the bag by himself.
About the care needs: Someone who is willing to listen and who has a calm personality. Someone who can anticipate his needs, like filling his water glass and watching when he is up to be sure he is safe. Because of the fall, he is very sore, so could need a little more help dressing, if he is not dressed already. He would already have had breakfast and coffee and normally dressed for the day.
Services needed include: companionship.
