About who needs care: My mom has been diagnosed with Alzheimer My mom has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. She is 83 she lives in her own home. She does need constant supervision. She does go to the bathroom herself so she doesn't need help with that. She does shower herself. She needs someone to give her medication daily. We are very family oriented so family will be in and out a lot and calling a lot and FaceTime mean so someone who is able to live there 24 seven prepare meals and also be a friend to my mom. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.

About who needs care: My mom has dementia and needs help with adls like meal prep and dish washing and house cleaning. She leaves messy spills and crumbs on counter tops floors and elsewhere. She forgets to use pots and pans to cook in and dishes to eat on. Family is afraid she will cause a fire as she set off the smoke detectors several time concerning the neighbors, and especially her immediate family. My mom is up by 8:30 eats breakfast, banana nut muffins or toast and coffee. She watch television then by noon she heads to a community pool to socialize. Come back home for 3-4, o'clock for a snack then she at times eat. But needs help with preparing foods as she cooks directly on top of the stove range without using a pot or pan. She forgets house keys and cellphone, pocket books in different place. She gets lost in her own apartment without someone she knows being n next to her. Us adult children have to work and have our own medical issues:. Two of us are young stroke survivors. mom no longer drives as per suggested by mom's primary care physician, Dr. Laurie Marion.
