Anne is 35years old with special needs, extremely high functioning, lives independently, and has a job providing maid service to a local hotel. She is pleasant and charming but does have a developmental disability, falling into the autism spectrum (classified as pervasive development disorder as a child). She's bright and alert, but with a mental age approximately middle-school, say 12.
She does not need hands-on care. The job is enrichment, getting Anne to exercise and music classes 3-4x a week, 90 minute sessions.
Her last caregiver (who may participate in the hiring process) was with her for 10 years but is leaving the area for unrelated personal reasons. She was as much companion to Anne as caregiver, and we look for the same warm relationship. As noted, no physical demands, but must have a car. Well compensated.
